CTET September 2026 Application Fee
For One Paper
- General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹1,000
- SC, ST and PwD candidates: ₹500
For Both Papers
- General, OBC and EWS candidates: ₹1,200
- SC, ST and PwD candidates: ₹600
Candidates can pay the examination fee through debit card, credit card, net banking, or e‑challan.
CTET September 2026 Eligibility
CTET is conducted for candidates who wish to become eligible for teaching positions at the primary and elementary levels. The examination is divided into two papers:
- Paper 1: For teaching Classes 1 to 5
- Paper 2: For teaching Classes 6 to 8
Candidates must meet the prescribed educational qualifications for the paper they wish to appear in.
CTET Paper 1 Eligibility – Primary Level

- Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per applicable NCTE regulations.
- Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a two-year Diploma in Education, including Special Education where applicable.

CTET Paper 2 Eligibility – Junior Level
Candidates applying for Paper 2 may qualify through any of the following routes:
- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, passed or appearing.

- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. according to applicable NCTE regulations.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a four-year B.El.Ed. course.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a four-year B.A.Ed., B.Sc.Ed., or equivalent course.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. Special Education.
- Candidates who have completed or are pursuing a recognized teacher education course may also be eligible according to the applicable CTET and NCTE guidelines.
- Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course.
