BPSC TRE 4.0 Eligibility 2026

Edu­ca­tion­al qual­i­fi­ca­tions vary accord­ing to the teach­ing lev­el and subject.

Primary Teacher – Classes 1 to 5

Can­di­dates may qual­i­fy through the pre­scribed com­bi­na­tions, including:

  • Senior Sec­ondary with at least 50% marks and a 2‑year Diplo­ma in Ele­men­tary Education.
  • Senior Sec­ondary with 45% marks and a 2‑year Diplo­ma in Ele­men­tary Edu­ca­tion accord­ing to applic­a­ble NCTE norms.
  • Senior Sec­ondary with 50% marks and a 4‑year B.L.Ed course.
  • Senior Sec­ondary with 50% marks and a 2‑year Diplo­ma in Ele­men­tary Edu­ca­tion (Spe­cial).
  • Bach­e­lor’s Degree in any stream with a 2‑year Diplo­ma in Ele­men­tary Education.
  • CTET / Bihar STET Paper‑I qual­i­fi­ca­tion as prescribed.

Middle School Teacher – Classes 6 to 8

Applic­a­ble qual­i­fi­ca­tions include com­bi­na­tions such as:

  • Bach­e­lor’s Degree with a 2‑year Diplo­ma in Ele­men­tary Education.
  • Bach­e­lor’s / Mas­ter’s Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed.
  • Bach­e­lor’s Degree with 45% marks and B.Ed accord­ing to applic­a­ble norms.
  • Bach­e­lor’s Degree with 50% marks along with BA B.Ed / B.Sc Ed.
  • Bach­e­lor’s Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed Special.
  • Mas­ter’s Degree with 55% marks with the pre­scribed 3‑year B.Ed‑M.Ed qualification.
  • CTET / Bihar STET Paper-II qual­i­fi­ca­tion as applicable.

TGT Teacher – Classes 9 to 10

Can­di­dates gen­er­al­ly require:

  • Bach­e­lor’s or Mas­ter’s Degree in the rel­e­vant sub­ject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.
  • Bach­e­lor’s or Mas­ter’s Degree with 45% marks and B.Ed accord­ing to applic­a­ble norms.

PGT Teacher – Classes 11 to 12
