The IBPS SO XVI recruit­ment is being con­duct­ed for Spe­cial­ist Offi­cer Scale‑I posts in par­tic­i­pat­ing pub­lic sec­tor banks. The recruit­ment includes IT Offi­cer, Agri­cul­tur­al Field Offi­cer, Rajb­hasha Adhikari, Law Offi­cer, HR/Personnel Offi­cer and Mar­ket­ing Offi­cer.

IBPS SO XVI Eligibility 2026

1. IT Officer – Scale‑I

Can­di­dates should have a rel­e­vant engineering/technology degree in fields such as:

• Com­put­er Applications
• Infor­ma­tion Technology
• Elec­tron­ics
• Elec­tron­ics and Telecommunication
• Elec­tron­ics and Communication
• Elec­tron­ics and Instrumentation

Rel­e­vant post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tions or a DOEACC ‘B’ Lev­el qual­i­fi­ca­tion may also be accept­ed as spec­i­fied in the offi­cial notification.

2. Agricultural Field Officer – Scale‑I

Can­di­dates should have a four-year degree in Agri­cul­ture or an eli­gi­ble allied agri­cul­tur­al dis­ci­pline, such as Hor­ti­cul­ture, Ani­mal Hus­bandry, Vet­eri­nary Sci­ence, Dairy Sci­ence, Fish­ery Sci­ence, Agri­cul­tur­al Engi­neer­ing and oth­er sub­jects spec­i­fied by IBPS.

3. Rajbhasha Adhikari – Scale‑I

Can­di­dates should have:

• A Mas­ter’s Degree in Hin­di with Eng­lish as a sub­ject at the degree lev­el; or
• A Mas­ter’s Degree in San­skrit with Hin­di and Eng­lish as sub­jects at the degree level.

4. Law Officer – Scale‑I

Can­di­dates should have:

• A Bach­e­lor’s Degree in Law (LLB), either a 3‑year or 5‑year law degree; and
• Enroll­ment with the Bar Coun­cil as required by the notification.

5. HR/Personnel Officer – Scale‑I

Can­di­dates should have a post­grad­u­ate degree/diploma in areas such as:

• Per­son­nel Management
• Indus­tri­al Relations
• Human Resource Management
• Human Resource Development
• Social Work
• Labour Law

6. Marketing Officer – Scale‑I

Can­di­dates should have a rel­e­vant post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion such as:

• MBA in Marketing
• MMS
• PGDBA
• PGDBM
• PGPM
• PGDM with spe­cial­iza­tion in Marketing

IBPS SO XVI Age Limit

The age lim­it for CRP SPL-XVI is:

• Min­i­mum Age: 20 Years
• Max­i­mum Age: 30 Years
• Age Cal­cu­la­tion Date: 01 July 2026

Can­di­dates belong­ing to reserved cat­e­gories may receive age relax­ation accord­ing to the rules men­tioned in the offi­cial IBPS notification.
