Application Fee

For AFCAT entry, the exam­i­na­tion fee can be paid through the avail­able online pay­ment modes such as Deb­it Card, Cred­it Card, Net Bank­ing or UPI.

AFCAT 02/2026 Age Limit

The age lim­it is pre­scribed accord­ing to the branch and entry. For the July 2027 course:

• Fly­ing Branch: 20 to 24 years.
• Can­di­dates hold­ing a valid Com­mer­cial Pilot Licence may receive the applic­a­ble upper-age relax­ation as per the notification.
• Ground Duty Tech­ni­cal / Non-Tech­ni­cal: 20 to 26 years.
• Age will be cal­cu­lat­ed accord­ing to the date pre­scribed in the offi­cial AFCAT notification.

The Indi­an Air Force noti­fi­ca­tion should be checked for the exact date-of-birth con­di­tions and oth­er age-relat­ed requirements.

AFCAT 02/2026 Vacancy Details

The recruit­ment includes vacan­cies in Fly­ing, Ground Duty Tech­ni­cal, Ground Duty Non-Tech­ni­cal, Mete­o­rol­o­gy and NCC Spe­cial Entry.

Note: Vacan­cy fig­ures are sub­ject to the con­di­tions men­tioned in the offi­cial noti­fi­ca­tion and may be revised by the Indi­an Air Force.

AFCAT 02/2026 Eligibility

1. Flying Branch

Can­di­dates should have a Bach­e­lor’s degree in any dis­ci­pline with the required Physics and Math­e­mat­ics at 10+2 lev­el, or an eli­gi­ble B.E./B.Tech qual­i­fi­ca­tion, sub­ject to the pre­scribed per­cent­age and oth­er conditions.

2. Ground Duty Technical Branch

Can­di­dates require the pre­scribed 10+2 qual­i­fi­ca­tion in Physics and Math­e­mat­ics along with an eli­gi­ble engineering/technology qualification.

Eli­gi­ble engi­neer­ing dis­ci­plines include the branch­es spec­i­fied by the Indi­an Air Force for Aero­nau­ti­cal Engi­neer­ing Elec­tron­ics and Mechan­i­cal entries.

3. Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch

Administration & Logistics

• Bach­e­lor’s degree in any discipline.
• Min­i­mum required per­cent­age as pre­scribed in the AFCAT notification.
• Can­di­dates must sat­is­fy the applic­a­ble phys­i­cal standards.

Accounts

• B.Com or an eli­gi­ble com­merce-relat­ed qualification.
• Min­i­mum required per­cent­age as pre­scribed by the Indi­an Air Force.

4. NCC Special Entry

Can­di­dates apply­ing for Fly­ing Branch through NCC Spe­cial Entry require a valid NCC Air Wing Senior Divi­sion ‘C’ Cer­tifi­cate along with ful­fill­ment of the pre­scribed Fly­ing Branch eli­gi­bil­i­ty conditions.

5. Meteorology Entry

Can­di­dates must pos­sess the edu­ca­tion­al qual­i­fi­ca­tion and sub­ject com­bi­na­tion pre­scribed for the Mete­o­rol­o­gy Branch.
