The NTA UGC NET June 2026 exam­i­na­tion was con­duct­ed from 22 June to 30 June 2026. The Final Answer Key for 84 sub­jects was released on 28 August 2026, fol­lowed by the UGC NET June 2026 Result and Score Card on 29 August 2026.

NTA UGC NET June 2026 Age Limit

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

• Max­i­mum age lim­it: 31 years
• Age relax­ation is avail­able as per the applic­a­ble UGC NET rules.

For Assistant Professor / NET

• No upper age lim­it for appear­ing in UGC NET for Assis­tant Pro­fes­sor eligibility.

UGC NET June 2026 Eligibility

Can­di­dates must ful­fill the eli­gi­bil­i­ty con­di­tions pre­scribed by NTA/UGC.

• Can­di­dates who have passed or are appear­ing in a Mas­ter’s Degree in the rel­e­vant sub­ject with at least 55% marks can apply.
• Can­di­dates belong­ing to reserved cat­e­gories may receive relax­ation in min­i­mum marks as per the applic­a­ble rules.
• Can­di­dates with a 4‑year Bach­e­lor’s Degree may also be eli­gi­ble under the pro­vi­sions men­tioned in the offi­cial notification.
