The Rail­way Recruit­ment Boards (RRB) have released the lat­est update for RRB Group D Level‑1 Recruit­ment 2026 under CEN 09/2025. A total of 22,195 vacan­cies have been announced for var­i­ous Level‑1 posts in Indi­an Railways.

Can­di­dates who suc­cess­ful­ly sub­mit­ted their appli­ca­tions can check their exam city and appli­ca­tion sta­tus. The RRB Group D CBT exam­i­na­tion is sched­uled from 03 August to 21 August 2026. The exam city infor­ma­tion is made avail­able before the exam­i­na­tion, while the admit card will be issued short­ly before the can­di­date’s exam date.

Can­di­dates should read the com­plete details below regard­ing eli­gi­bil­i­ty, age lim­it, appli­ca­tion fee, phys­i­cal effi­cien­cy require­ments, exam­i­na­tion sched­ule and oth­er impor­tant information.

Application Fee

Refund After Appearing in CBT

• Gen­er­al / OBC / EWS: ₹400 refund after appear­ing in the CBT
• SC / ST / PH / EBC: ₹250 refund after appear­ing in the CBT

The appli­ca­tion fee was payable through UPI, Deb­it Card, Cred­it Card or Net Bank­ing.

Age Limit

Age cal­cu­lat­ed as on 01 Jan­u­ary 2026:

• Min­i­mum Age: 18 Years
• Max­i­mum Age: 33 Years

Age relax­ation for reserved cat­e­gories and oth­er eli­gi­ble can­di­dates will be applic­a­ble accord­ing to the Rail­way Recruit­ment Board­’s rules.

RRB Group D Vacancy 2026

The Rail­way Recruit­ment Board has announced 22,195 Level‑1 vacan­cies under CEN 09/2025.

Zone-wise and post-wise vacan­cy details should be checked in the lat­est offi­cial notification/corrigendum issued by RRB.

Educational Qualification

Can­di­dates apply­ing for RRB Group D Level‑1 posts should have either:

• Passed Class 10th / Matric­u­la­tion from a rec­og­nized board in India, or
• Obtained an ITI cer­tifi­cate from a rec­og­nized institution.

Can­di­dates should check the offi­cial CEN 09/2025 noti­fi­ca­tion for post-spe­cif­ic require­ments and oth­er eli­gi­bil­i­ty conditions.

RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Can­di­dates who qual­i­fy the applic­a­ble stages of the recruit­ment process must meet the pre­scribed Phys­i­cal Effi­cien­cy Test standards.

Male Candidates

• Should be able to car­ry 35 kg weight for 100 metres with­in 2 min­utes with­out putting the weight down.
• Should com­plete a 1000-metre run with­in 4 min­utes 15 sec­onds.
• The pre­scribed tasks are to be com­plet­ed in a sin­gle opportunity.

Female Candidates

• Should be able to car­ry 20 kg weight for 100 metres with­in 2 min­utes with­out putting the weight down.
• Should com­plete a 1000-metre run with­in 5 min­utes 40 sec­onds.
• The pre­scribed tasks are to be com­plet­ed in a sin­gle opportunity.

Can­di­dates should refer to the offi­cial noti­fi­ca­tion for com­plete PET rules and exemp­tions, if any.

RRB Group D Exam City 2026

The RRB Group D Exam City infor­ma­tion is released before the CBT so that can­di­dates can know the city where their exam­i­na­tion cen­tre will be located.

Can­di­dates should down­load their exam city infor­ma­tion as soon as it becomes avail­able and make appro­pri­ate trav­el arrangements.

The exam city infor­ma­tion is not the same as the admit card. The detailed admit card con­tain­ing the exam­i­na­tion cen­tre, date and shift infor­ma­tion is issued sep­a­rate­ly before the exam.

RRB Group D Admit Card 2026

The RRB Group D admit card will be avail­able before the can­di­date’s sched­uled exam­i­na­tion date.

Can­di­dates should down­load the admit card using their registration/application details and car­ry a print­ed copy to the exam­i­na­tion cen­tre along with the required orig­i­nal valid ID proof.

RRB Group D Selection Process

The recruit­ment process for Level‑1 posts gen­er­al­ly includes the fol­low­ing stages:

1. Com­put­er Based Test (CBT)
2. Phys­i­cal Effi­cien­cy Test (PET)
3. Doc­u­ment Verification
4. Med­ical Examination

Can­di­dates must qual­i­fy each applic­a­ble stage to pro­ceed fur­ther in the recruit­ment process.

Can­di­dates can fol­low these steps:

1. Vis­it the offi­cial RRB region­al website.
2. Open the link for CEN 09/2025 Group D Level‑1 Exam City / Admit Card.
3. Enter your reg­is­tra­tion num­ber and oth­er required details.
4. Sub­mit the information.
5. Check your exam­i­na­tion city and relat­ed details.
6. Down­load and save the infor­ma­tion for future reference.
7. When the admit card becomes avail­able, down­load and print it separately.
