The exam­i­na­tion that was sched­uled for 19 August 2026 has been post­poned. Can­di­dates who applied for the recruit­ment should check the lat­est post­pone­ment notice and wait for the revised exam­i­na­tion schedule.

The online appli­ca­tion process was reopened from 10 July to 20 July 2026 for eli­gi­ble can­di­dates. Appli­cants who had pre­vi­ous­ly applied under the B.Ed sub­ject were required to sub­mit the appli­ca­tion again dur­ing the reopen­ing period.

Important Exam Update

The UPESSC Assis­tant Pro­fes­sor B.Ed exam­i­na­tion sched­uled for 19 August 2026 has been post­poned. Can­di­dates should not rely on the pre­vi­ous exam­i­na­tion date and should wait for the com­mis­sion to announce the revised schedule.

Application Fee

The exam­i­na­tion fee could be paid through the pre­scribed online pay­ment meth­ods, includ­ing deb­it card, cred­it card and net bank­ing, or through the per­mit­ted offline pay­ment mode.

Educational Qualification

Can­di­dates apply­ing for the Assis­tant Pro­fes­sor B.Ed posts should ful­fill the pre­scribed edu­ca­tion­al qualifications.

The eli­gi­bil­i­ty includes rel­e­vant qual­i­fi­ca­tions such as:

• Mas­ter’s Degree in Sci­ence, Math­e­mat­ics, Social Sci­ence, Com­merce or rel­e­vant Language/B.Ed sub­jects with at least 55% marks.
• M.Ed. with 55% marks, where applic­a­ble; OR
• Mas­ter’s Degree in Soci­ol­o­gy with 55% marks along with B.Ed./B.L.Ed./equivalent qual­i­fi­ca­tion, as applicable.
• Can­di­dates should also pos­sess the pre­scribed UGC NET / Ph.D. / D.Phil. qual­i­fi­ca­tion as required under the recruit­ment rules.

Important Re-Application Notice
