Expla­na­tion: SI = P × R × T / 100 = 4000 × 5 × 2 / 100 = ₹400.

17. If 12 men can com­plete a work in 15 days, how many days will 20 men take, assum­ing the same efficiency? 

Expla­na­tion: Men × Days = Con­stant. 12 × 15 = 20 × D. D = 180/20 = 9 days. 

18. The cost price of an arti­cle is ₹500. If it is sold at a prof­it of 20%, find the sell­ing price. 

Expla­na­tion: Prof­it = 20% of ₹500 = ₹100. Sell­ing price = ₹500 + ₹100 = ₹600.

19. What is the HCF of 24 and 36?

20. A num­ber is increased from 200 to 250. What is the per­cent­age increase?
