The SSC MTS & Haval­dar Exam­i­na­tion 2025 was con­duct­ed for a total of 8,021 vacan­cies, includ­ing 6,810 Mul­ti-Task­ing Staff (MTS) posts and 1,211 Haval­dar posts under CBIC and CBN.

Can­di­dates who qual­i­fied for the rel­e­vant stage should care­ful­ly check the PET/PST exam­i­na­tion sched­ule, venue details and oth­er instruc­tions issued by SSC. The PET/PST exam­i­na­tion is sched­uled from 24 August to 31 August 2026.

SSC MTS & Havaldar Eligibility Criteria

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)

Can­di­dates should have passed the Class 10th/Matriculation exam­i­na­tion from a rec­og­nized board in India.

Havaldar

Can­di­dates must have passed Class 10th/Matriculation from a rec­og­nized board.

Haval­dar can­di­dates must also qual­i­fy the pre­scribed Phys­i­cal Effi­cien­cy Test (PET) and Phys­i­cal Stan­dard Test (PST).

Havaldar PET Requirements

Male Can­di­dates:

• Walk­ing: 1,600 metres in 15 minutes

Female Can­di­dates:

• Walk­ing: 1 kilo­me­tre in 20 minutes

Physical Standards

Male:

• Min­i­mum Height: 157.5 cm
• Chest: 81–86 cm

Female:

• Min­i­mum Height: 152 cm

Can­di­dates should refer to the offi­cial noti­fi­ca­tion for cat­e­go­ry-wise phys­i­cal stan­dards and applic­a­ble relaxations.

SSC MTS & Havaldar Age Limit

The age lim­it is cal­cu­lat­ed as on 01 August 2025.

• Min­i­mum Age: 18 Years
• MTS Max­i­mum Age: 25 Years
• Haval­dar Max­i­mum Age: 27 Years
• Age relax­ation: Applic­a­ble to reserved cat­e­gories as per SSC rules.

SSC MTS & Havaldar Application Fee

• Gen­er­al / OBC / EWS: ₹100
• SC / ST: No Fee
• All Cat­e­go­ry Female Can­di­dates: No Fee

SSC MTS PET/PST Schedule 2026

SSC has now issued the PET/PST exam­i­na­tion sched­ule for Haval­dar can­di­dates who have qual­i­fied for the phys­i­cal stage.

PET/PST Date: 24 August to 31 August 2026

Can­di­dates should down­load and care­ful­ly read the offi­cial PET/PST notice before appear­ing for the phys­i­cal exam­i­na­tion. They should also car­ry all required doc­u­ments and fol­low the instruc­tions men­tioned in the offi­cial notice.
