A total of 1,156 vacan­cies are avail­able, includ­ing 44 Pro­fes­sor posts and 1,112 Assis­tant Pro­fes­sor posts. Can­di­dates who meet the required edu­ca­tion­al and pro­fes­sion­al qual­i­fi­ca­tions can sub­mit their appli­ca­tions online from 18 August 2026 to 1 Sep­tem­ber 2026.

Application Fee

Can­di­dates are required to pay the pre­scribed appli­ca­tion fee accord­ing to their category:

• Gen­er­al / OBC / EWS: ₹105
• SC / ST: ₹65
• PH Can­di­dates: ₹25

The fee can be paid through the pay­ment meth­ods pro­vid­ed by UPPSC, includ­ing SBI MOPS, deb­it card, cred­it card, net bank­ing or SBI e‑Challan, as applicable.

UPPSC Professor & Assistant Professor Age Limit

The age require­ment dif­fers accord­ing to the post:

Professor

• Min­i­mum Age: 35 Years
• Max­i­mum Age: 55 Years

Assistant Professor

• Min­i­mum Age: 26 Years
• Max­i­mum Age: 40 Years

Age will be cal­cu­lat­ed as on 1 July 2026. Relax­ation in the upper age lim­it will be avail­able to eli­gi­ble reserved-cat­e­go­ry can­di­dates accord­ing to UPPSC rules.
