UTET 2026 Eligibility
Primary Level (Class I to V)
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following eligibility conditions:
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and completed or appearing in the final year of 2‑Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./BTC).
- Passed 10+2 with 45% marks and completed or appearing in the final year of 2‑Year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations 2002.
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and completed or appearing in the final year of 4‑Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and completed or appearing in the final year of 2‑Year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Bachelor’s Degree with completed or appearing in the final year of 2‑Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- IGNOU D.El.Ed. qualified Shiksha Mitra candidates are also eligible.
- In-service teachers teaching Classes I to V are also eligible.
Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following conditions:
- Bachelor’s Degree with completed or appearing in the final year of 2‑Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and completed or appearing in B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks and completed or appearing in B.Ed. as per NCTE regulations.
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and completed or appearing in 4‑Year B.El.Ed.
- Passed 10+2 with 50% marks and completed or appearing in 4‑Year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and completed or appearing in B.Ed. (Special Education).
- Graduation or Post Graduation with 50% marks and completed or appearing in B.Ed. (subject to NCTE guidelines).
