HTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
HTET Level 1 – PRT Teacher (Class 1 to 5)
Candidates generally need to meet one of the following qualification combinations:
- 10+2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 2‑year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education / B.El.Ed.
- 10+2 with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the prescribed 2‑year teacher education diploma.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any stream along with a 2‑year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education / B.El.Ed.
HTET Level 2 – TGT Teacher (Class 6 to 8)
Eligible candidates may include those having:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with at least 50% marks along with a 2‑year Diploma in Education / Elementary Education.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks along with B.Ed. or Special B.Ed.
- 10+2 with at least 50% marks along with a 4‑year BA B.Ed. / B.Com B.Ed. degree.
HTET Level 3 – PGT Teacher
- Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks along with a B.Ed. degree.
- Subject-specific qualification requirements may apply.

HTET 2025 Examination Levels
The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted at three levels:
- Level 1: Primary Teacher (PRT) – Classes 1 to 5
- Level 2: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Classes 6 to 8
- Level 3: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
