The CSIR UGC NET June 2026 online appli­ca­tion process was com­plet­ed ear­li­er this year, and the exam­i­na­tion was con­duct­ed in July 2026. NTA has also released the pro­vi­sion­al answer key and record­ed respons­es, allow­ing can­di­dates to sub­mit challenges.

Impor­tant: As of 26 August 2026, the offi­cial CSIR-NET web­site has not announced a con­firmed date for the final answer key or result. Can­di­dates should reg­u­lar­ly check the offi­cial web­site and this page for the lat­est update.

NTA CSIR UGC NET June 2026 – Latest Update

The pro­vi­sion­al answer key for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 exam­i­na­tion was released on 16 August 2026. Can­di­dates were pro­vid­ed an oppor­tu­ni­ty to chal­lenge the pro­vi­sion­al answer key.

The final answer key will be pre­pared after con­sid­er­ing the chal­lenges sub­mit­ted by can­di­dates. The CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Result is expect­ed to be released after com­ple­tion of the answer-key eval­u­a­tion process.

CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Age Limit

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

• Max­i­mum age lim­it: 30 years
• Applic­a­ble age relax­ation is avail­able to eli­gi­ble reserved and oth­er cat­e­gories as per the offi­cial rules.

For Assistant Professor/Lectureship

• There is no upper age lim­it for apply­ing for Assis­tant Professor/Lectureship.

2. Earth, Atmos­pher­ic, Ocean and Plan­e­tary Sciences

CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Eligibility

Can­di­dates are required to meet the edu­ca­tion­al qual­i­fi­ca­tion and oth­er con­di­tions pre­scribed in the offi­cial infor­ma­tion bulletin.

Gen­er­al­ly, can­di­dates with the required Mas­ter’s degree or equiv­a­lent qual­i­fi­ca­tion in the rel­e­vant sub­ject are eli­gi­ble, sub­ject to the per­cent­age, cat­e­go­ry and qual­i­fi­ca­tion require­ments spec­i­fied by NTA.

Can­di­dates with qual­i­fy­ing degrees such as cer­tain Inte­grat­ed Cours­es, B.E./B.Tech., B.Pharma and MBBS may also be eli­gi­ble under the applic­a­ble CSIR-UGC NET rules.

NTA released the pro­vi­sion­al answer key and record­ed respons­es for the June 2026 exam­i­na­tion on 16 August 2026.
