NTA has pub­lished the Pub­lic Notice regard­ing Chal­lenge of Pro­vi­sion­al Answer Keys for UGC-NET June 2026 on 16 August 2026.

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

The max­i­mum age lim­it for JRF is 31 years, sub­ject to the applic­a­ble relax­ation and eli­gi­bil­i­ty rules.

Assistant Professor / NET

There is no upper age lim­it for Assis­tant Pro­fes­sor eligibility.

Can­di­dates who have passed or are appear­ing in a rel­e­vant Mas­ter’s degree or equiv­a­lent qual­i­fi­ca­tion with the required per­cent­age are eli­gi­ble, sub­ject to the con­di­tions men­tioned in the offi­cial notification.

Can­di­dates with a four-year Bach­e­lor’s degree may also be eli­gi­ble under the applic­a­ble UGC-NET provisions.
