The NEET UG 2026 result was declared on 16 July 2026, along with the final answer key. The MCC NEET UG coun­selling process has start­ed from 5 August 2026 for eli­gi­ble can­di­dates seek­ing admis­sion through the All India Quo­ta and oth­er par­tic­i­pat­ing institutions.

The exam­i­na­tion fee could be paid through the avail­able online pay­ment meth­ods as spec­i­fied by NTA.

NEET UG 2026 Eligibility

Can­di­dates appear­ing for NEET UG must ful­fill the pre­scribed edu­ca­tion­al and oth­er eli­gi­bil­i­ty requirements.

• Can­di­dates should have passed or be appear­ing in the 10+2 / Inter­me­di­ate exam­i­na­tion.
• The qual­i­fy­ing exam­i­na­tion should include Physics, Chem­istry and Biology/Biotechnology.
• Can­di­dates must ful­fill the pre­scribed sub­ject and per­cent­age require­ments applic­a­ble to their category.
• Can­di­dates appear­ing in the qual­i­fy­ing exam­i­na­tion may also apply, sub­ject to ful­fill­ing all eli­gi­bil­i­ty con­di­tions at the time of admission.

NEET UG 2026 Age Limit

• Min­i­mum Age: 17 years
• The can­di­date should have attained the min­i­mum required age by the pre­scribed date.
• Max­i­mum Age: No upper age lim­it, sub­ject to applic­a­ble rules.

NEET UG 2026 Eligibility Codes

NTA pro­vides dif­fer­ent eli­gi­bil­i­ty codes for can­di­dates depend­ing on their qual­i­fy­ing exam­i­na­tion. The major cat­e­gories include:

Code 01

Can­di­dates appear­ing in the qual­i­fy­ing Class 12 exam­i­na­tion in 2026 whose result is await­ed may appear for NEET UG. How­ev­er, they must qual­i­fy in the required exam­i­na­tion before admission/counselling as prescribed.

Code 02

Can­di­dates who have passed the Higher/Senior Sec­ondary or equiv­a­lent exam­i­na­tion after com­plet­ing the required peri­od of study, with Physics, Chem­istry, Biology/Biotechnology and Eng­lish as prescribed.

Code 03

Can­di­dates who have passed an Inter­me­di­ate or Pre-Degree Sci­ence exam­i­na­tion from a rec­og­nized Indi­an University/Board with the required sci­ence sub­jects and English.

Code 04

Can­di­dates who have com­plet­ed a Pre-Pro­fes­sion­al or Pre-Med­ical exam­i­na­tion with Physics, Chem­istry, Biology/Biotechnology and Eng­lish after the required qual­i­fy­ing examination.

Code 05

Can­di­dates who have com­plet­ed the first year of a rec­og­nized three-year degree course with Physics, Chem­istry and Biology/Biotechnology, along with the required pre­vi­ous qualification.

Code 06

Can­di­dates who have passed B.Sc. with the pre­scribed com­bi­na­tion of sub­jects and have com­plet­ed the ear­li­er qual­i­fy­ing exam­i­na­tion with Physics, Chem­istry, Biol­o­gy and English.

Code 07

Can­di­dates who have passed anoth­er exam­i­na­tion con­sid­ered equiv­a­lent to the Inter­me­di­ate Sci­ence exam­i­na­tion, includ­ing the required study of Physics, Chem­istry and Biology/Biotechnology with prac­ti­cal exam­i­na­tions and English.

NEET UG 2026 Counselling

The NEET UG 2026 coun­selling process is being con­duct­ed after dec­la­ra­tion of the result. Can­di­dates who qual­i­fy and meet the applic­a­ble eli­gi­bil­i­ty cri­te­ria can par­tic­i­pate in coun­selling for med­ical and den­tal admissions.

The coun­selling process gen­er­al­ly involves:
