NEET UG 2026 Eligibility
Candidates appearing for NEET UG must fulfill the prescribed educational and other eligibility requirements.
- Candidates should have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 / Intermediate examination.

NEET UG 2026 Eligibility Codes
NTA provides different eligibility codes for candidates depending on their qualifying examination. The major categories include:
Code 01
Candidates appearing in the qualifying Class 12 examination in 2026 whose result is awaited may appear for NEET UG. However, they must qualify in the required examination before admission/counselling as prescribed.
Code 02
Candidates who have passed the Higher/Senior Secondary or equivalent examination after completing the required period of study, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as prescribed.
Code 03
Candidates who have passed an Intermediate or Pre-Degree Science examination from a recognized Indian University/Board with the required science subjects and English.
Code 04
Candidates who have completed a Pre-Professional or Pre-Medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English after the required qualifying examination.
Code 05
Candidates who have completed the first year of a recognized three-year degree course with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, along with the required previous qualification.
Code 06
Candidates who have passed B.Sc. with the prescribed combination of subjects and have completed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Code 07
Candidates who have passed another examination considered equivalent to the Intermediate Science examination, including the required study of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology with practical examinations and English.
