SSC has announced a total of 84 vacan­cies under the Com­bined Hin­di Trans­la­tors Exam­i­na­tion 2026.

Educational Qualification

Junior Hindi Translator / Junior Translation Officer / Junior Translator

Can­di­dates gen­er­al­ly need to ful­fill the pre­scribed Mas­ter’s degree and trans­la­tion qualification/experience requirements.

The qual­i­fi­ca­tion includes, as applicable:

  • Mas­ter’s degree in Hin­di or Eng­lish with Eng­lish or Hin­di as a com­pul­so­ry or elec­tive sub­ject at the degree level.
  • Mas­ter’s degree in any sub­ject with Eng­lish medi­um and Hin­di as a com­pul­so­ry or elec­tive sub­ject at the degree lev­el, along with the pre­scribed trans­la­tion qual­i­fi­ca­tion or experience.
  • A rec­og­nized Diplo­ma or Cer­tifi­cate Course in Trans­la­tion from Hin­di to Eng­lish and Eng­lish to Hin­di, or the required trans­la­tion expe­ri­ence, wher­ev­er applicable.

Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator

Can­di­dates must ful­fill the pre­scribed high­er-lev­el qual­i­fi­ca­tion and expe­ri­ence requirements.

Gen­er­al­ly, the eli­gi­bil­i­ty includes:

  • Mas­ter’s degree in Hin­di or Eng­lish with Eng­lish or Hin­di as a com­pul­so­ry or elec­tive subject.
  • Mas­ter’s degree in anoth­er sub­ject with Eng­lish medi­um and Hin­di as a com­pul­so­ry or elec­tive sub­ject at degree level.
  • Rec­og­nized trans­la­tion diploma/certificate or the required pro­fes­sion­al trans­la­tion expe­ri­ence as prescribed.
