SSC JHT 2026 – Educational Qualification

Junior Hindi Translator / Junior Translation Officer / Junior Translator

Can­di­dates should have the pre­scribed Mas­ter’s Degree qual­i­fi­ca­tion in Hin­di or Eng­lish, with Eng­lish or Hin­di as a com­pul­so­ry or elec­tive sub­ject, as applicable.

Cer­tain can­di­dates may also qual­i­fy with a Mas­ter’s Degree in anoth­er sub­ject where the required Hindi/English medi­um and sub­ject con­di­tions are fulfilled.

In addi­tion, can­di­dates must sat­is­fy the pre­scribed require­ment of a rec­og­nized Diplo­ma or Cer­tifi­cate Course in Trans­la­tion from Hin­di to Eng­lish and Eng­lish to Hin­di, or the required trans­la­tion expe­ri­ence, wher­ev­er applicable.

Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator

Can­di­dates must pos­sess the pre­scribed Mas­ter’s Degree qual­i­fi­ca­tion in Hin­di or Eng­lish with the required Hindi/English sub­ject conditions.

Can­di­dates must also ful­fill the applic­a­ble require­ment of a rec­og­nized Diploma/Certificate Course in Trans­la­tion or the pre­scribed pro­fes­sion­al experience.

SSC JHT 2026 Application Process

SSC con­duct­ed the online appli­ca­tion process for the Com­bined Hin­di Trans­la­tors Exam­i­na­tion 2026 from 23 April 2026 to 14 May 2026.

Can­di­dates were required to com­plete the SSC registration/application process, pro­vide the required per­son­al and edu­ca­tion­al details, upload the pre­scribed doc­u­ments and pay the exam­i­na­tion fee, wher­ev­er applicable.

SSC also intro­duced the live pho­to­graph require­ment dur­ing the appli­ca­tion process. Can­di­dates were required to fol­low the pho­to­graph and doc­u­ment spec­i­fi­ca­tions pre­scribed by the Commission.
