About National Testing Agency (NTA)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, as an autonomous body to conduct transparent, fair, and standardized examinations. NTA aims to improve equity and quality in education by administering research-based assessments for admission to higher education institutions.
NTA is responsible only for conducting the CUET PG examination, declaring results, and issuing scorecards. Admission and counselling are handled by respective universities.
What is CUET PG 2026?
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) was introduced to create a uniform admission process for Postgraduate courses across Central and participating universities. CUET PG 2026 scores will be used for admission to PG programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.

How to Apply for CUET PG 2026 (Step-by-Step)
Candidates must apply for CUET PG 2026 in online mode only. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.
Step 1: Online Registration
- Visit the official CUET PG website
- Complete registration using a valid email ID and mobile number
- Generate Application Number and Password
Step 2: Fill Application Form
- Enter personal details, educational qualifications, and programme details
- Select up to four question paper codes
- Choose examination cities (maximum two)
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, and category/PwD certificate (if applicable)
Step 3: Fee Payment
- Pay the application fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI
- Download and save the Confirmation Page for future reference

CUET PG 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or
- Candidates appearing in the final year of Bachelor’s degree in 2026 are eligible
- No age limit for CUET PG 2026

CUET PG 2026 Exam Pattern
- Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 90 Minutes
- Total Questions: 75 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Maximum Papers Allowed: 4 Question Papers
Marking Scheme
- +4 Marks for each correct answer
- −1 Mark for each incorrect answer
- 0 Marks for unattempted questions
If a question is dropped or has multiple correct answers, marks are awarded as per NTA rules.
Medium of Question Papers
- Most papers are Bilingual (English & Hindi)
- M.Tech / Higher Sciences: English only
- Language Papers: In respective languages
- Acharya Papers: Sanskrit / Hindi / English (as applicable)
In case of discrepancy, the English version will be treated as final, except for language papers.
Choice of Examination Cities
- Candidates can select up to two cities
- Cities must be within the State of Permanent or Present Address
- Final allotment is done by NTA based on availability
CUET PG 2026 Admit Card
- Admit cards will be released online only
- Candidates must download the e‑Admit Card from the official website
- No admit card will be sent by post or email
Candidates must carry:

- One passport-size photograph

Reservation Policy
- Reservation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD/PwBD is applicable as per Government of India norms
- Final reservation and seat allocation is decided by respective universities
- NTA has no role in reservation decisions
Answer Key & Objection Process
- Provisional Answer Key will be released online
- Candidates can challenge answers by paying ₹200 per question (non-refundable)
- Final result will be based on the Final Answer Key
CUET PG 2026 Result & Admission
- NTA Score is valid only for the 2026–27 academic session
- Scorecards must be downloaded online
- No re-evaluation or re-checking is allowed
- Counselling and admissions are conducted by universities, not NTA
Unfair Means & Examination Rules
CUET PG 2026 is governed by the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. Any malpractice may lead to:
- Cancellation of result
- Debarment up to 3 years
- Legal action
