Can­di­dates seek­ing admis­sion to Post­grad­u­ate pro­grammes in Cen­tral Uni­ver­si­ties and oth­er par­tic­i­pat­ing uni­ver­si­ties can now sub­mit their appli­ca­tion form online through the offi­cial portal.

About National Testing Agency (NTA)

The Nation­al Test­ing Agency (NTA) has been estab­lished by the Min­istry of Edu­ca­tion, Gov­ern­ment of India, as an autonomous body to con­duct trans­par­ent, fair, and stan­dard­ized exam­i­na­tions. NTA aims to improve equi­ty and qual­i­ty in edu­ca­tion by admin­is­ter­ing research-based assess­ments for admis­sion to high­er edu­ca­tion institutions.

NTA is respon­si­ble only for con­duct­ing the CUET PG exam­i­na­tion, declar­ing results, and issu­ing score­cards. Admis­sion and coun­selling are han­dled by respec­tive universities.

What is CUET PG 2026?

The Com­mon Uni­ver­si­ty Entrance Test (CUET PG) was intro­duced to cre­ate a uni­form admis­sion process for Post­grad­u­ate cours­es across Cen­tral and par­tic­i­pat­ing uni­ver­si­ties. CUET PG 2026 scores will be used for admis­sion to PG pro­grammes for the 2026–27 aca­d­e­m­ic ses­sion.

How to Apply for CUET PG 2026 (Step-by-Step)

Can­di­dates must apply for CUET PG 2026 in online mode only. Appli­ca­tions sub­mit­ted through any oth­er mode will not be accepted.

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Vis­it the offi­cial CUET PG website
  • Com­plete reg­is­tra­tion using a valid email ID and mobile number
  • Gen­er­ate Appli­ca­tion Num­ber and Password

Step 2: Fill Appli­ca­tion Form

  • Enter per­son­al details, edu­ca­tion­al qual­i­fi­ca­tions, and pro­gramme details
  • Select up to four ques­tion paper codes
  • Choose exam­i­na­tion cities (max­i­mum two)
  • Upload scanned pho­to­graph, sig­na­ture, and category/PwD cer­tifi­cate (if applicable)

Step 3: Fee Payment

  • Pay the appli­ca­tion fee using Deb­it Card, Cred­it Card, Net Bank­ing, or UPI
  • Down­load and save the Con­fir­ma­tion Page for future reference

CUET PG 2026 Application Fee

Fee for up to Two Test Papers:

  • Gen­er­al: ₹1400
  • OBC-NCL / EWS: ₹1200
  • SC / ST / Third Gen­der: ₹1100
  • PwD / PwBD: ₹1000
  • Out­side India: ₹7000

Addi­tion­al Test Paper Fee (Per Paper):

  • Gen­er­al: ₹700
  • OBC-NCL / EWS / SC / ST / PwD: ₹600
  • Out­side India: ₹3500

CUET PG 2026 Eligibility Criteria

  • Can­di­dates who have com­plet­ed a Bachelor’s degree or
  • Can­di­dates appear­ing in the final year of Bachelor’s degree in 2026 are eligible
  • No age lim­it for CUET PG 2026

Note: Uni­ver­si­ty-spe­cif­ic eli­gi­bil­i­ty, sub­ject require­ments, and age rules (if any) must be checked on the respec­tive uni­ver­si­ty website.

CUET PG 2026 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam­i­na­tion: Com­put­er Based Test (CBT)
  • Dura­tion: 90 Minutes
  • Total Ques­tions: 75 Mul­ti­ple Choice Ques­tions (MCQs)
  • Max­i­mum Papers Allowed: 4 Ques­tion Papers

Marking Scheme

  • +4 Marks for each cor­rect answer
  • −1 Mark for each incor­rect answer
  • 0 Marks for unat­tempt­ed questions

If a ques­tion is dropped or has mul­ti­ple cor­rect answers, marks are award­ed as per NTA rules.

Medium of Question Papers

  • Most papers are Bilin­gual (Eng­lish & Hindi)
  • M.Tech / High­er Sci­ences: Eng­lish only
  • Lan­guage Papers: In respec­tive languages
  • Acharya Papers: San­skrit / Hin­di / Eng­lish (as applicable)

In case of dis­crep­an­cy, the Eng­lish ver­sion will be treat­ed as final, except for lan­guage papers.

Choice of Examination Cities

  • Can­di­dates can select up to two cities
  • Cities must be with­in the State of Per­ma­nent or Present Address
  • Final allot­ment is done by NTA based on availability

CUET PG 2026 Admit Card

  • Admit cards will be released online only
  • Can­di­dates must down­load the e‑Admit Card from the offi­cial website
  • No admit card will be sent by post or email

Can­di­dates must carry:

  • Print­ed Admit Card
  • One pass­port-size photograph
  • Valid orig­i­nal pho­to ID proof

Reservation Policy

  • Reser­va­tion for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD/PwBD is applic­a­ble as per Gov­ern­ment of India norms
  • Final reser­va­tion and seat allo­ca­tion is decid­ed by respec­tive universities
  • NTA has no role in reser­va­tion decisions

Answer Key & Objection Process

  • Pro­vi­sion­al Answer Key will be released online
  • Can­di­dates can chal­lenge answers by pay­ing ₹200 per ques­tion (non-refund­able)
  • Final result will be based on the Final Answer Key

CUET PG 2026 Result & Admission

  • NTA Score is valid only for the 2026–27 aca­d­e­m­ic session
  • Score­cards must be down­loaded online
  • No re-eval­u­a­tion or re-check­ing is allowed
  • Coun­selling and admis­sions are con­duct­ed by uni­ver­si­ties, not NTA

Unfair Means & Examination Rules

CUET PG 2026 is gov­erned by the Pub­lic Exam­i­na­tion (Pre­ven­tion of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. Any mal­prac­tice may lead to:

  • Can­cel­la­tion of result
  • Debar­ment up to 3 years
  • Legal action

  • Report to the exam cen­tre 90 min­utes before the exam
