- RNA is single stranded
- RNA has ribose sugar
- It is a polymer with a ribose and phosphate backbone with four distinct bases: Uracil, cytosine,Adenine and guanine
- RNA does not replicate on its own. It is synthesized from DNA when required
- RNA directly codes for amino acids and acts as a messenger between DNA and ribosomes to make protein.
