The Indi­an Air Force (IAF) has released the noti­fi­ca­tion for AFCAT 02/2026 Batch Recruit­ment 2026, which is being con­duct­ed for the July 2027 batch. Can­di­dates who suc­cess­ful­ly sub­mit­ted their appli­ca­tions for AFCAT 02/2026 can down­load their Admit Card once it is made available.

  • Fly­ing Branch: 20 to 24 Years
  • Ground Duty Tech­ni­cal / Non-Tech­ni­cal: 20 to 26 Years
  • Age-relat­ed con­di­tions for NCC Spe­cial Entry and Mete­o­rol­o­gy Entry should be checked in the offi­cial notification.
  • Age relax­ation, wher­ev­er applic­a­ble, will be pro­vid­ed accord­ing to the pre­scribed rules.

NCC Special Entry

For NCC Spe­cial Entry, Fly­ing Branch vacan­cies are avail­able through the pre­scribed NCC quo­ta, with 10% seats out of CDSE vacan­cies for Per­ma­nent Com­mis­sion and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacan­cies for Short Ser­vice Com­mis­sion, as men­tioned in the notification.

AFCAT 02/2026 Eligibility

Flying Branch

Can­di­dates should have a Bach­e­lor’s Degree in any stream with Physics and Math­e­mat­ics at the 10+2 level.

Can­di­dates hold­ing a B.E. / B.Tech degree may also be eli­gi­ble as per the pre­scribed conditions.

Ground Duty Technical – Aeronautical Engineering Electronics

Can­di­dates should have:

  • At least 60% marks in Physics and Math­e­mat­ics at 10+2 lev­el, and
  • A min­i­mum 4‑year degree / inte­grat­ed post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion in Engi­neer­ing or Tech­nol­o­gy in the rel­e­vant discipline.

Ground Duty Technical – Aeronautical Engineering Mechanical

Can­di­dates should have:

  • Min­i­mum 60% marks each in Physics and Math­e­mat­ics at 10+2 lev­el, and
  • A 4‑year Engi­neer­ing / Tech­nol­o­gy degree in Mechan­i­cal Engi­neer­ing, Indus­tri­al Engi­neer­ing, Aero­nau­ti­cal Engi­neer­ing or an equiv­a­lent discipline.

Administration & Logistics

A Bach­e­lor’s Degree in any dis­ci­pline with a min­i­mum of 60% marks is required.

Min­i­mum Height:

  • Male: 157.5 cm
  • Female: 152 cm

Accounts

Can­di­dates should pos­sess a B.Com degree with at least 60% marks.

NCC Special Entry – Flying

Can­di­dates should hold an NCC Air Wing Senior Divi­sion ‘C’ Cer­tifi­cate along with ful­fill­ing the oth­er eli­gi­bil­i­ty require­ments pre­scribed for the Fly­ing Branch.

Meteorology Entry

Can­di­dates inter­est­ed in the Mete­o­rol­o­gy branch should check the offi­cial AFCAT 02/2026 noti­fi­ca­tion for detailed edu­ca­tion­al and oth­er eli­gi­bil­i­ty requirements.

AFCAT 02/2026 Selection Process

Can­di­dates are select­ed through the pre­scribed Indi­an Air Force recruit­ment process, which may include:

The AFCAT 02/2026 Admit Card is sched­uled to be avail­able from 05 August 2026. Can­di­dates should down­load their hall tick­et before the exam­i­na­tion and ver­i­fy all details carefully.
