The Social Wel­fare Depart­ment, Uttar Pradesh (UP SWD) has start­ed the online appli­ca­tion process for the UP Schol­ar­ship 2026–27. Eli­gi­ble stu­dents study­ing in Class 9, Class 10, Class 11, Class 12, Under­grad­u­ate (UG), Post­grad­u­ate (PG), Diplo­ma, Cer­tifi­cate, B.Ed., BTC, B.Sc., M.Sc., BA, and oth­er eli­gi­ble cours­es can apply online with­in the pre­scribed dates.

Eligibility Criteria

Appli­cants must be enrolled in a rec­og­nized school, col­lege, insti­tu­tion, or uni­ver­si­ty in Uttar Pradesh.

Pre Matric Scholarship

  • Stu­dents study­ing in Class 9 or Class 10 are eligible.

Post Matric Scholarship (Class 11 & 12)

  • Class 11: Must have passed Class 10 and be enrolled in Class 11.
  • Class 12: Must have passed Class 11 and be enrolled in Class 12.

Dashmottar Scholarship (Higher Education)

Stu­dents enrolled in any of the fol­low­ing cours­es are eligible:

  • Under­grad­u­ate (UG)
  • Post­grad­u­ate (PG)
  • BA
  • B.Sc.
  • B.Com.
  • M.A.
  • M.Sc.
  • M.Com.
  • B.Ed.

Renewal Candidates

Can­di­dates renew­ing their schol­ar­ship should log in using their pre­vi­ous year’s reg­is­tra­tion num­ber and update the required details.


How to Apply for UP Scholarship 2026–27

Fol­low these steps to com­plete the online application:

  1. Vis­it the offi­cial UP Schol­ar­ship portal.
  2. Com­plete the One Time Reg­is­tra­tion (OTR), if required.
  3. Reg­is­ter using the appro­pri­ate Fresh or Renew­al option.
  4. Fill in all per­son­al, aca­d­e­m­ic, and bank details carefully.
  5. Upload the required doc­u­ments in the pre­scribed format.
  6. Ver­i­fy all infor­ma­tion before final submission.
  7. Sub­mit the appli­ca­tion form online.
  8. Print the final appli­ca­tion form.
  9. Sub­mit the print­ed copy along with sup­port­ing doc­u­ments to your school or col­lege with­in the pre­scribed time.

Fresh & Renewal Applications

Fresh Candidates

Stu­dents apply­ing for the schol­ar­ship for the first time dur­ing the aca­d­e­m­ic ses­sion 2026–27 should sub­mit a Fresh Appli­ca­tion.

Renewal Candidates

Stu­dents who received the schol­ar­ship in the pre­vi­ous aca­d­e­m­ic ses­sion and con­tin­ue their stud­ies should apply through the Renew­al option.


Important Instructions

  • Aad­haar Card is manda­to­ry for the schol­ar­ship application.
  • Ensure that your bank account is active and linked with Aadhaar.
  • Enter the non-refund­able fee exact­ly as men­tioned on your fee receipt.
  • Ver­i­fy all infor­ma­tion before final submission.
  • Sub­mit the print­ed appli­ca­tion to your edu­ca­tion­al insti­tu­tion with­in the spec­i­fied deadline.
  • Incom­plete or incor­rect appli­ca­tions may be reject­ed dur­ing verification.

Selection Process

Schol­ar­ships will be award­ed after:

  • Online Appli­ca­tion Submission
  • Ver­i­fi­ca­tion by Edu­ca­tion­al Institution
  • Dis­trict-Lev­el Verification
  • Approval by the Social Wel­fare Department
  • Schol­ar­ship Amount Trans­fer through Direct Ben­e­fit Trans­fer (DBT)
